Oh boy has it been long! It has been almost a year since I have been on the blog and for somewhat goo reasons... I got engaged which meant wedding planning galore  Wedding planned WHILE in dental hygiene school for 6 months Married and moved into our first little home Tried (and still trying) to be the cute little wifey that cooks and cleans Graduated from Dental Hygiene school with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene  Passed my national board and state board And now good ole job searching... With the busy and crazy time commitment to school, I had a leap of faith to plan a wedding during. Many called me crazy but I wouldn't change it for the world. I pushed myself to many breaking points trying to balance school and wedding planning. But it was all worth the pain, tears, and endless nights.  And with finishing Dental Hygiene school, which I am still in disbelief that I did. It was a roller coaster of a program for me, but I know that I can now go into t...

Dental Hygiene Life

Because many think that all I can do is "clean teeth" What most of you don't know that as a Dental Hygienist I am able to do far more. I am an oral cancer screener, injection giver, teeth scalar, probing depth expert, vitals taker, radiographer, health advisor, and yes cleaning and polshing teeth. Also making sure my patient leaves with a joyful smile. As a dental hygiene student I am learning so much. I have never worked so hard before in my life. Having 15 hour days at school, long nights of studying, getting no sleep, and no social interaction with friends has been very hard to adjust to. Though I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I can not wait to help others, to give others a smile they have been waiting for, and to finally be done with school.  Here is a little look into my life at school!

If you want to know anything about Dental Hygiene school one thing is... It is HARD, TIRING, STRESSFUL, AND SO TIME CONSUMING that I cant remember the last time I got a full 5 hours of sleep at night. But I love what I learn and I can not wait to work with real patients one day. So let the countdown begin... ONE YEAR LEFT

First day of Dental Hygiene School

Can you believe it!?! Its already here. A schooling and career that I have wanted to do my whole life. I cant believe that I am that much closer to be working with patients and hopefully being able to do mission work with it. I know that dental hygiene school will be the hardest thing I have ever done yet but I know that I will conquer through it all!  My schedule is pretty crazy at the moment with classes all day every day and loads of school work ahead. But I am thankful for a giving and loving God that will give me the strength and the determination to prosper through. I know He will be with my every step as I draw closer to Him. I just pray that I will bring all glory back to His name with this schooling.  So here is to long days, sleepless nights, studying and wearing scrubs!
