dental hygiene college do's and dont's

my first week is finally over! 
for those who didnt know I got accepted into West Coast University for a degree in Dental Hygiene so I am in the bachelor of sciences of dental hygiene program!

my Thursday night class ends at 11pm and that means that the weekend has started
its been a bummer having school when the weather has been perfect but oh well
as im typing I thought I can share some do's and dont's to this place so far

dont...
`leave your house to get on the 5 north at 8am cause the whole world is on there too
`expect to get parking on Mondays cause again the whole world is trying to get parking as well
`forget your ID card cause you dont want to wear the silly elastic string thing to class cause you will not get inside he building
`think that going back to school at 5pm on the freeway is any better 
`forget coffee and a snack to your 6pm - 11pm class

do...
`watch the fireworks at disneyland on your night class break cause it is awesome 
`get to know Juan the parking lot guard cause if he likes you he will save a spot for you
`be that super organized girl with color coated everything cause classes get pretty crazy 
`use a backpack 
`have lots of water, snacks and starbucks coffee in the car cause you just never know
`use the student lounge cause they have everything.... like everything

beanie and sparkles

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
