Gift wrapping on a dime

Image
If you are like me, you are always on the search for a cheaper way to do things. And when it comes to the holidays I love any type of DIY or dollar store find to make decor, gift wrap, or something else. This year I went over to the dollar tree and found great finds to do my gift wrapping. And guess what? It only cost 4 bucks! What a steal.  So I purchased a plaid and red wrapping paper, gold and tan twine and gift boxes.  Hope this helps with your holiday gift wrapping! Our first Christmas tree

Image
I love this holiday season and all the joy it brings. I am as happy as Buddy the Elf is during Christmas time. Everything is a first for us in the Hadley house with being newly weds. Another first of ours is our very first Christmas tree! I felt like such an adult picking out the tree, bringing it into the house and decorating it. Sometimes it feels surreal that I am married and live in my own little house that I can decorate however I want! It is so fun to go on Pinterest and look up decor I like and try to pull it off. So with all the decorations and fun, I of course have to capture it all for memories. Luckily I got to steal Mitchell in for a second between his finals studying to take a picture in front of our tree. I have this crazy idea that every year we take a picture in front of the tree and as the years go on there will be more people in the picture like a dog, then babies, and so forth.  It may look like a cheesy, self timer, old fashion photo, but I love it so m...

Harbor Christmas Lights

Image
With Mitchell and I newly married, it is so much fun to start traditions as our own little family. I wanted to make a tradition that every December 1st we go out and do something that is "Christmasyy"  The harbor by our house decorates with festive lights every year so we took some hot coco and walked around, saying old stories and looking at the lights.  How can you not be in love with Christmas!? Next for our agenda is getting a tree, decorating it, and watching a fun Christmas movie!

This seasons Christmas Decor

Image
December 1st may not be till tomorrow, but I could not help to share my favorite Christmas decor that has been popping up on Pinterest.  If you're like me, you have already decorated around the house for Christmas, playing Christmas music, drinking hot coco, and planning fun dates to go look at festive Christmas lights. It is just too much fun not to! I love this season and all the joy it brings

Mitchell is home for good!

Good as in for 3 whole weeks for Christmas break!  Best Gift Ever. I am so happy to have my best friend home for the holidays. I may be in school for another week, but he is home and that's all I care about. Here's my new vlog on this past weekend! Enjoy https://youtu.be/6d_sl_b0ZXw

CHRISTMAS

Image
It is almost here. I can not wait. CHRISTMAS This year is a little different since I am in school and so very busy. Though, that doesn't stop me from being the most festive person ever. You will casually find me singing Christmas songs all day long. When Mitchell was home I helped take some Christmas cards for his family and I got to take some cute ones with him so I had to share! AND have you checked out my Vlog channel!? IF you haven't you're missing out! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbsCIqzIrFRAoBKf3xU69eg

life is swell

Image
I have my ups and downs I have my good days and my bad days mainly good since its pretty easy to get me dancing and have a ball though other days I am having a stressful breakdown on my classes, friendships and trying to please others my classes are having me pull my hair out, friendships are hard when you feel excluded or that you are missing out in their life, trying to make others happy and the stress of a long distance relationship though it moments like this when I set aside my thoughts and rest on the love that Christ gives He has given me so so much and I cant believe at times I complain at all but that is life and being a 21 year old girl with hormones  but after all this I know that  life is swell

thanksgivng love

my thanksgiving was absolutely amazing +I have so much to be thankful for +the grace and salvation Jesus gives +He continuous love and mercy that pours out +Mitchell being home +yummy food +the beauty of Gods creation as the stormy weather is crawling in +and lots of adventures +andddd also taking a break from studying. Which I thought was a horrible idea coming Sunday late at nigh, but got a 97% on my midterm so no complaints I could go on and on in detail about my weekend but that would end up being pages and pages to read. So I will simply say that it was a weekend full of non-stop fun having Mitchell home (literally could cry about how happy I was) going on adventures like cruising around town, seeing friends and family and so much more.  Now its DECEMBER and I couldn't be happier. Its socially acceptable to blast Christmas music without anyone telling me not to.  And it rained today. Yes rain. I studied, had hot coco and made soup Perfection...

Merry Merry Christmas from jay

well its the day after Christmas.. I may be having the Christmas blues since its time to take down the lights and tree but I am going to continue the celebration and say ::Merry Christmas:: // I had the most wonderful Christmas, it was filled with so much joy, love, and fun. Christmas eve I went with Kara on a little adventure to get Mitch something and of course Starbucks, then Christmas eve service at church. I woke up early to open gifts with mom and grandma and then I headed over the Hadley's to exchange gifts. It was such a yummy morning with a delicious breakfast and lots and smiles and laughs. It was the best giving Mitch his gift cause I had the best time buying it, it was snow goggles that are SO SICK {snaps for jay}, and a very studly Jacks flannel. The Hadley's were so sweet and got me such such nice things, even Santa brought me my own little chalkboard mug with the best chocolate at their house, how did he know I was gonna be there... It was such a lovely...

christmas gifts with my girls

Image
{another thing I love about the season is giving} I love to give, its one of my love languages as I have learned every year so far its been the best tradition when the girls and I get together to have a girls night and exchange gifts, we all know each other so well that when we open the gifts we get so happy and may shed a happy tear or two I'm so blessed to have these girls as sisters in Christ, as best friends  and we had a little adventure towards the end of the night to see our friend Kyle to chat and blast pussycat dolls (back to the 7th grade days) cameras everywhere!
