First day of Dental Hygiene School

Can you believe it!?!
Its already here. A schooling and career that I have wanted to do my whole life. I cant believe that I am that much closer to be working with patients and hopefully being able to do mission work with it. I know that dental hygiene school will be the hardest thing I have ever done yet but I know that I will conquer through it all! 
My schedule is pretty crazy at the moment with classes all day every day and loads of school work ahead. But I am thankful for a giving and loving God that will give me the strength and the determination to prosper through. I know He will be with my every step as I draw closer to Him. I just pray that I will bring all glory back to His name with this schooling. 
So here is to long days, sleepless nights, studying and wearing scrubs!

beanie and sparkles

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
