Dental Hygiene Life

Because many think that all I can do is "clean teeth"

What most of you don't know that as a Dental Hygienist I am able to do far more. I am an oral cancer screener, injection giver, teeth scalar, probing depth expert, vitals taker, radiographer, health advisor, and yes cleaning and polshing teeth. Also making sure my patient leaves with a joyful smile. As a dental hygiene student I am learning so much. I have never worked so hard before in my life. Having 15 hour days at school, long nights of studying, getting no sleep, and no social interaction with friends has been very hard to adjust to. Though I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I can not wait to help others, to give others a smile they have been waiting for, and to finally be done with school.
