a day with the girls is always the best  im so so blessed to have these lovely ladies back  the day was filled of shopping, coffee, and Mexican cantina for virgin pina colada and to eat chips&salsa till you we felt sick  you know all that girly shenanigans oh how I love summer confession for the day... we had the fun thought to have a #YOLO moment and get our cartilage pierced... ya we walked into Get My Point and chicken out well at least we walked into the place right? 

nothing like lemon cookies on a summer day today I had the chance to have a laid back day and I though it would be nice to bake something sweet all it took were some lemons from my tree and simply ingredients  chewy lemon cookies YUM 

finally bring on the tan lines, beach days, spa nights, and outdoor activities cause its summer! I have been going on and on about how summer is close and im so blessed to say it is finally here! oh ya and GUESS WHO IS HOME my best friends I have said it before and I will say it again jackpot they arrived Friday afternoon and had the chance to see Mitchell that same day his family came and picked me up from my house with him in the back seat, he jumped out and gave me a great big hug, the whole night i kept looking at his face cause it felt so surreal, like is that really you???  we have had the best time hanging with his fam, going on adventurous runs, some pool fun, boating with his fam which was the best ever, eating yummy food (this boy has missed the hamburgers couldn't blame him), tennis, and just hanging out and being goofy with my best friend im so blessed to have them in my life and so excited to see what the rest of the summer has in store!!!

this past weekend my mom and I thought it would be fun to have a little road trip to palm springs to hangout while the weather is nice. both my parents grew up there, I have a bunch of family that lives there and I also was born there! so its always a little home away from home when I go.  plus who doesn't want to study for finals along the pool side enjoying some oranges hand picked from the tree besides you? we stayed at my bonne mama house (we call her ma), my moms mommy and got to play with her cute dogs. when I was little her dogs were like my dogs, but as time pasted on, some passed away and she has always brought in new ones from the same breed. let me tell you, those dogs are her children. this past year she has two new little ones. and they are my favorite. it was such a fun adventure going down town, tanning by the pool, night walks, going by old memories like going to dinner where my mom worked back in her youth and seeing the house we built back in the day we alw

heres to a happy mothers day to all the lovely mothers out there im so thankful for the mother the lord blessed me with. if you dont know kay, oh well she is a gem  the Matthews ladies are the best moms i know and i absolutely am obsessed with them.  but heres to my dear mother that does so much for me lets go down memory lane for a sec  these pictures are from the hospital i was born at. i was the first baby born there so i guess im kinda famous (is that why people like me? probably) its fun to scroll though all the hospital brochures and magazines to see us, its so precious so heres to a special mothers day to this gem in my life love her to the moon and back 

you know the feeling when everything is just packed ontop of your shoulders and all you want to do is crash into your nice warm bed? thats how I have been feeling these past days, exausted, tired, stressed out of my little mind. to be honest here the other night I did crash into my bed around 7pm... didnt know that was possible for someone having three cups of coffee running through her blood stream. with the stress of finals, 15 page research paper, and outside school stuff I have been extrememly stressed out of my mind and just want to crash into my bed. last night I needed the comfort of Gods words to build me back up I went to 1Peter to read and came across this humbling verse  1 Peter 5:6,7  Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. which also is in Psamls 55:22  "Cast thy burden upon the Lord"  made me feel so blessed and filled with so much
