sweet sweet summer

finally bring on the tan lines, beach days, spa nights, and outdoor activities cause its summer!
I have been going on and on about how summer is close and im so blessed to say it is finally here!

they arrived Friday afternoon and had the chance to see Mitchell that same day
his family came and picked me up from my house with him in the back seat, he jumped out and gave me a great big hug, the whole night i kept looking at his face cause it felt so surreal, like is that really you??? 
we have had the best time hanging with his fam, going on adventurous runs, some pool fun, boating with his fam which was the best ever, eating yummy food (this boy has missed the hamburgers couldn't blame him), tennis, and just hanging out and being goofy with my best friend
im so blessed to have them in my life and so excited to see what the rest of the summer has in store!!!

beanie and sparkles

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
