Santa Barbara and Morro Bay

If you know me you know how I love road trips. I always bug Mitchell with road trip ideas and for places to go see. This time around Mitchell planned this trip all himself. Proud girlfriend over here!
I went up to Santa Barbara to see him at school and we went up to Morro Bay for a fun adventure. 
Mitchell is my adventure buddy, we always have the best, funniest, most random, greatest times. We both are very like "yah we will try this or do this why not!" And that makes the adventure so much fun. 
I have always wanted to go up north and this was a little bit more north than Santa Barbara which made me excited! 
The day started out with our drive up getting food and passing by a shooting range and thinking why not check it!? So basically we walked in and the guy showed us around and we got to try out a gun! It was so cool. After we went into Morro Bay, traveled around the town, went kayaking with some sea otters and then went to a fun dinner. 
I love when I get to make memories like this with my love.

beanie and sparkles

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
