Memorial Day Weekend 2015

Cheers to another year that I get to spend with Mitchell and all the amazing families that get together on Memorial Day Weekend. Its always my favorite kind of days when they are spent at the lake house (and if you know me then you know the lake house is one of my favorite places), but even more when not only are the Hadley's there but their family group that has been together for many years. 
Its a full weekend of all these fun families getting together and having the best time. In a nutshell it was four days of being on the boat, wake boarding, ping pong games, running around, volleyball games, yummy food, hanging with friends that I don't get to see all the time, early mornings and late nights, dance parties, relaxing around, and having Mitchell home. It was such a great weekend, and I am still pretty hyped about it all. Even if the weather wasn't the typical warm weather, cold and cloudy was the forecast. I mean I got to wake board in a 3/4 wetsuit which was fun!

beanie and sparkles

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
