in the life of jay

being anti social media is usually a good to bad thing

good thing since that means I am out and about not on my computer or phone

bad for my blog since well im not updating hehee

so here's my life in a nutshell recently 

~summer school: currently I am in my nutrition class and we are having a two hour lecture on how you shouldn't eat raw meat... easy day which now you can see why its my only time to update the blog

though I am really really enjoying my summer classes. They are Monday through Thursday at 7am to 11am. Which every time I say that people think im so strange for enjoying them, but I absolutely do! Speech and nutrition easy and fun, though my sleep pattern is way off due to being out past 10pm.. but its summer who can blame me?

~I am a new and working part time girl at Islands. I am pretty sure my favorite part of my job is getting half off the food there, its just so delicious. And talking with people, thats too fun for me. Though, very tedious, im a host. I think I could win a award for most kids coloring sheet colored when you work the 11am shift on weekdays

~I have been so overly stressed with the decisions of career wise when I am older. Dental Hygiene has been calling my heart for such a long time. After hours of talking to counselors and talking to dental programs it would just not work out so well, which makes me pretty teary eye. Though, maybe that's something God doesn't have in store for me. Patience is so hard but so peaceful when my main focus in on the Lord. SO career in public relations is what has been recommended for me, anyone need an intern??

~just being a busy bee with summer is consuming the rest of my time. beach, pool days, BBQ nights, slumber parties and just being with my friends. Even with summer school it has been the greatest summer ever. I'm so so blessed and thankful for the friends I have become so close to these couple past months. Praise Jesus for Mitchell introducing me into the group because they are my bestest friends and have never felt so blessed. Fellowship is so important, to have people around you that just love Jesus and seek to glorify Him daily. To have that around me makes me feel just so unbelievably blessed. And plus we think of the greatest things to do. We always think of fun active things to do

~this past year just accepting Jesus fully into my life and living day to day just digging into scripture and prayer to grow closer to Him has been so so incredible. My life has just been so blessed and I am happy to know that I have Jesus, that I am a sinner, but He came to die for sinners like me and to know that I am his daughter is just so awesome. Praise Him! I am just so excited to see what he has in store for me in the future. I am now starting to mentor the freshman girls at my church. To think that I can be a leader to these girls when its such a scary time in their life. Like freshman year of high school holy moly! To be that leader that can pray with them and biblicaly help them through everything makes me feel so blessed, that God is using me to help these girls. I just pray that God will direct me to just be able to help guide these girls and just be able to always meet up with them to help them gain fellowship with one another and to help them grow their relationship with Him.

~Costa Rica is in less then a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! holy ca moly so excited, I might just start packing my bags now, and making working on my spanish

this weekend shopping with the girls, hiking, homework, hopefully beach and just praising Jesus
