baptism: showing your commitment to live a life with Jesus

something that has been on my heart for a while now and I finally had the opportunity to be "dunked" under water. the glorious words of Dave Keehn as he dunked me under repeat through my days. "dead to sin and alive in Christ" 
it was the most humbling, loving, greatest day ever
showing to my church family that my life is fully committed to Jesus 
its like posting a relationship with someone through facebook cause we all know its not official til its facebook official ;)
my life has been so unbelievably blessed since I fully accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour and keeper of my heart. Baptism is a time to show that you will live this life for him and through him, to outwardly show that you have Jesus and you are striving to live like him. 
Jesus bought our sins through the blood on the cross and this life is to follow him with his Word and to live to bring him Glory.
im so excited to see what heavenly father has in store for me. my smile is from ear to ear knowing that I am saved by grace and that I am adopted into his heavenly kingdom
God is great
He is full of unconditional love 
I cant brag about my love for our Saviour since I fail Him daily, I sin, I am no where near perfect
but I can brag about his love for me since it never fails!

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
