day in the life of a "saddlebacker"

on Thursdays I am stuck at my community college for basically the whole day. well at least from 10:30 to 3:20 which to anyone normal is a long time when its a Biology class with a lab. I feel like a ten year old again when I pack up my backpack for the day including snacks, extra water, and gum. plus of course all my color pens and highlights. but the beauty of college is that laptops are acceptable, which made me smile to ear to ear, just makes me feel so official when I get to sit in movie theater seats in a huge lecture hall having my laptop on one side and my color coordinated notes on the other side. that's how you ride in style in bio class my friends
as much as I would love to hear about protein synthesis for six hours we have a twenty to thirty minute break between the lecture and lab so I get to hop in my car, enjoy a snack, play some country and give my brain a little mental break. I received the stares as I take pictures of myself via snapchat from these boys as they slowly walked by my car, "really guys I'm not the one holding swords and cigarettes in my hand" ya I get to see some strange things up in this campus, but I now don't need to question why they would have swords since well its saddleback
as my break instantaneously came to an end I ran up the mile long stairs (another over dramatic view) with my backpack bouncing behind me felt like another ten year old moment as I got the stares, people probably thinking I was ten for my lack of height and then of course I eat it on the ground, that's when the stares hit hard, I stood up really quick, brushed my lovely self off and walked away with my head up thinking ya I fell and I owned it  hoping that would make me feel better since now my toe was bleeding... but luckily I made it right on time to class
as lab was ending, slowly watching the clock move by the seconds right when it hit 3:20 I popped out of there as fast as I could and ran to my car which was parked in legit Africa, darn you mile long stairs. I was dying to get home since my stomach was talking through the whole lab lecture and I was going to have the chance to skype with Mitch since its been awhile, which we ended up not being able to, another darn you to the 7 hour time difference
my house is only a short 3 minute drive so driving home, windows down pouring my heart out to Tim Mcgraw and TSwifts new song, and pulling up to the drive way was the best feeling in the midst of all the cray cray for a Thursday, in the life of a "saddlebacker"
and praise Jesus since I don't have Friday classes!!
so my weekend starts now consisting of dinner while watching recorded shows of dance moms
and figuring out what summer classes to take......
