Core Winter Camp 14


This past weekend was winter camp for the high school group at my church. As I have mentioned before I am the freshman ladies leader for this ministry. Let me just say how thankful and happy I am that God placed this in my life! I love hanging with the high school girls and just have fun with them. But most importantly that I can be used as a tool in Gods hands to be a blessing, a light and an example of Jesus to these girls. That I am able to bring the power of the Word to them and just help lead them biblically and to live a life looking to Jesus! They are so wonderful and I have learned SO MUCH from them. I have grown so much in Christ from leading, praise Jesus for this ministry!
so WINTER CAMP 
It was amazing. To see God work through all our hearts was incredible. We were out in big bear and let me tell you it was GORGEOUS. I thought I was walking in Narnia. It was such an incredible weekend playing in the snow, hanging with the group, being at camp with all the late night talks and junk food galore. It was so great to just enjoy Jesus, the fellowship and the snow!

beanie and sparkles

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
