Matthews Christmas {a Christmas miracle}

merry merry Christmas everyone!
for those who may not know its been a bumpy year
one thing that happen was that my sweet grandma Matthews had a random, scary health problem that left all of us thinking she would not make it. She was in the ICU for a long time, unconscious with doctors with her there day to night trying to figure out what had happen. In a nutshell she finally woke up and is still slowly continually getting stronger and better. We never gave up, we had faith and strength to know that she will come through.
It was a emotional roller coaster that was so heart breaking at times. BUT if you know grandma Rita then well she is a strong women that can get through anything and guess what? She was sitting with us enjoying the annual Christmas party. 
She my friends is one Christmas miracle
This year our location was different but doesn't matter where and when or who the Matthews were all together. We were able to have our little party at her new medical rehab place, with a tree and all. It was a fun evening with food, laughs, lots of pictures, white elephant gifts, presents, and most of all having grandma there. 
I cant express how very grateful I am for our God, that loves and has a miraculous plan. He strengthen all our hearts and praise be that grandma still is here.

**So we all had a super cool idea to get grandma an ipad for christmas cause she has been wanting one forever! Her reaction was priceless she was so surpirse!!

Hands down summer is just the best season. There is so much that I love about summer I could write a book. One thing that Mitchell and I have been doing is going to the beach a lot. We are very blessed that we can just walked right to the beach from our home. Even with our busy work schedule we try to make it down there even on weekdays to walk, surf or just relax. We have had many weddings to attend, 4th of July, parties, and beach days for Summer 2017. And we also have a new (or two) additions to our family.... Spinach Berry Smoothie

a perfect pick me up smoothie is the best way to start off the day here is my spinach berry smoothie jam packed with sweet berry's and lots of spinach I also added a touch of blue agave for some extra sweetness ~3 cups of spinach (you can always add in more veggies like carrots) ~ small hand full of frozen strawberries, blue berries and blackberries ~few slices of frozen pineapple ~some splashes of cranberry juice (you can use any liquid from almond milk to apple juice, I just enjoy the strong flavor of cranberry juice) and that's all! for some extra nutrients to the smoothie adding in protein powder would always be delightful

where did the photos go!?

Have you noticed there has not been as many photos posted since this blog first came out? This blog was intentionally created to post my photos I enjoy capturing with friends, family and events. As time has gone on, I have grown to be more inspired to write simple things I have been up to, bible verses and biblical messages, funny things that happen through the days, and just things I am eternally thankful for . I hope this blog has inspired you to go out and have fun adventures and to come closer to our Heavenly Father. My family and friends that I am not in touch with on a daily basis have enjoyed coming here to see how I am and whats been going on. And I believe that this blog has been something God has blessed me to do. But I am sorry for my lack of photography I have been a busy bee with school and church I haven't brought out my little baby to use. Do not fret there will be more pictures coming soon!
