June News

The month of June has been crazy fun so far.
We had our siblings high school graduation which was happy and sad to see. I just can not believe that they are already out of high school! They are still babies in my eyes.
We recently had one of our close friends get married this past weekend! It was such a fun time since we had a bunch of our out of state friends come and stay with us. It was an eventful weekend hanging out with everyone, the wedding day, lots of dancing, and just being all together. It is harder as we have gotten older and having close friends move but this weekend was so refreshing to have non-stop fun with the group together again.
We spent our Saturday out on a boat cruising the sea and then Sunday we went to church, ate at Ellies Table, and walked around the Harbor.
June has been such a fun month and a AWESOME start to summer

beanie and sparkles

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
