Its a Happy Easter cause HE is risen!

Happy happy Easter everyone. I just love this holiday. probably my favorite
I am hoplessly, madly, deeply in love with spring time. Im probably the happiest during this time, the weather, the flowers, the colors everything is just so magnificent
and probably because the chocolate Easter Cadbury Mini Eggs are being sold and I cant help myself when I come face to face with those tasty ones. 
Though the reason for the season is so uplifting. Everyday should be a celebration for Easter because it is the day Jesus came from the tomb, alive, resurrected, sharing the beautiful message that our sins are paid for through the shedding of his blood, and have full assurance for eternal life with Christ. I love my Heavenly Father over anything on this Earth. He is my all in all. I surrender daily to him, knowing the ransom is paid, my sins are gone, I can walk obedient to him here on Earth and I can greet Him at his heavenly throne soon. Praise Jesus, the holder of my heart!!!

Today was filled with a cute dress, Easter service at church, eating at a yummy Mexican food restaurant (a new twist to the Matthews family we usually go for brunch) and eating my little candy's finishing up an essay that's due in the morning, procrastination at its finest 


look at my lil babes! he is growing up so fast! already 14... let me remind you we are 5 years apart and he is that much taller than me, im even wearing heels! gosh where does the time go

//tis the season to wear beanies// falalalalala  this morning woke up to the lovely sound of rain hitting my window, and I couldn't help jumping out of bed and playing my play list of Christmas music with the weather getting colder its now time to officially bring out the beanies and the fun outfits of sparkles  yes I said sparkles, not sequence sparkles my friends  today is reserved for some yummy coffee, homework and my Christmas music  happy day!

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but not sticky.  Roll out dough*
