this thing called college

so there is this little place i go to called community college
Saddleback College to be specific 
let me just tell you a little fun fact about this place
if i die of LUNG CANCER from second hand smoke i blame this school
it seems like the thing to do there, between classes just pull out a cancer stick out and blow away. dont mind me wearing a gas mask next time i step onto campus 

college classes has just started for me
before classes started i couldnt wait to sit in a classroom with other college kids and be all studious in my work
well i take that back now
since im taking the 8 week courses its a lot, a lot, a lot of work in a short period of time. i have to admit i love being productive, taking such exciting classes, and being able to start my future. 
BUT 
the work thats being assigned is so time consuming that i cant remember the last time i checked pintrest. i know scary. thats what i get for having such a long summer
i miss the days when i could sleep in, go on a nice little jog, run errands for my mom, look on blogs,  cook food and bake treats, go shopping, and finish a book i started reading. geez i cant wait to be older and be a mom. but for now its time to crack into the books and be focused on my academic future

Valentines Day Kisses {cookie style}

baking for others is always the best and Valentines day is the best time to share lots of treats  this year I made sugar cookies in the shape of Hersey Kisses and some heart shaped ones these were so fun to make, very messy but that's what made it so fun! they made not have turned out exactly perfectly shaped but its the thought that counts ;) Cookie Recipe   1 cup (2 sticks) of real butter (I used salted) 1 1/2 cups of confectioner's sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons flavoring extract (I used Almond) 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream together butter and sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and flavoring.  Combine butter and egg mixtures and beat until fully incorporated.  In another separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients and add to butter an egg mixture in three intervals.  Mix until dough is pliable but no...

today I am eternally thankful for being a daughter of God and knowing the truth of our dear Father in heaven that sent his son to die for us sinners, that is true love. Reading in the story of James, he grew up with Jesus yet doubted that he was the Son of God.  Jesus extended grace over James and appeared to him after His Resurrection.
